A gentle layer before Apple Contacts

Meet first.
Decide what belongs later.

Neighbors, classmates, event contacts, couriers, and repair services can be worth remembering without immediately becoming permanent contacts.

  • Organize a person even when you do not know their name
  • Keep organizations, roles, industries, addresses, and multiple numbers
  • Record when and how each entry was added
  • Move truly important callers into Apple Contacts when needed

Clear boundaries make protection trustworthy

What CallerIndex can do—
and what iOS controls.

✓

Explicit numbers, clear control

Numbers you mark, import, or receive from an enabled directory can be synchronized to iOS identification and blocking lists.

—

Unknown numbers stay with iPhone

Previously unseen numbers are governed by your carrier, Focus, and iPhone unknown-caller settings.

✓

The app updates after saving

CallerIndex reloads the system directory. Reopening Phone is the quickest common way to check a new label.

—

iOS schedules the final display

No third-party app can force Phone to redraw, promise instant labels, or guarantee a caller's identity.

Frequently asked

Know the rules.
Then make it yours.

Can CallerIndex block every unknown call?

No. CallerIndex identifies or optionally blocks explicit phone numbers. Calls from completely unseen numbers remain governed by iPhone and carrier settings.

Why has a new label not appeared in Phone yet?

The app updates the system directory after saving, while iOS schedules the final interface refresh. Fully reopening Phone is the quickest common check. Contacts, blocked lists, and Focus can also affect the result.

What is the difference between marking and blocking?

Marking keeps a useful label while allowing the call. Marking and blocking also places that explicit number in the iOS blocking directory.

Does the second address book write to Apple Contacts?

Not by default. It is private contact management inside CallerIndex. When system-level important-caller behavior is needed, the app guides you to add that person to Apple Contacts.

Can CallerIndex read my full call history?

No. iOS does not expose the complete system call history to third-party apps. A marking action starts only when you deliberately use the system reporting entry.

Let the next call be more than a number

Add context.
Keep your choices.
